This piece was inspired by my semester living in Lacoste, France. We were assigned to create a village scene, and I wanted to create some of the beautiful architecture I saw while visiting. Within the village, I wanted it to center around hunting, specifically red deer, which is the most common hunted animal in France. That piece is meant to reflect a Saturday morning market occurring, something very common in France, and the items being sold are all related to hunting with guns and weapons being sold, to taxidermy items to hang on customers' walls. Every detail put into this piece all went back to hunting and the culture centered around it.
